Creamy Garlic Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 recipe Carnation® Simple White Sauce
- 8 oz (250 g) mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) butter
Directions
Step 1:
Prepare Carnation Simple White Sauce as directed.
Step 2:
Melt butter in a large non-stick skillet on medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and garlic and cook, stirring frequently until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Add to white sauce. Stir well to combine.
Step 3:
Pour over cooked chicken, pork, beef or fish. Try over your favourite vegetables.
Step 4:
*Try the Creamy Mushroom Garlic Sauce over Grilled Steak Flank or Sautéed Chicken Breast.
Tip
Sauce can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. It may thicken, so just thin out with a bit of evaporated milk when reheating.
