: Butter an 8” (2L) baking dish.

: Beat evaporated milk, eggs, dry mustard and salt. Stir in cheese.

: Butter bread and cut into 1” (2.5cm) cubes. Combine well with evaporated milk mixture.

: Pour into prepared dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

: Remove from fridge. Remove cover. Allow it to come to room temperature.

: Preheat oven to 350ºF (190ºC). Bake until puffed and golden, about 45 minutes. Serve hot.
Tip(s)
Change the cheddar cheese to any of your favourite cheeses.
Add cooked crumbled bacon, ham or sausage.
Add some red pepper flakes if you like things spicy.
It’s good with an egg bread but try it with other breads that you have on hand.
