: To prepare barbecue sauce, in a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, barbecue sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, mustard, onion, garlic and ginger. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 15 minutes or until thickened.

: Meanwhile, pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper and brown in a preheated non-stick skillet, grill pan or on a barbecue. Place in a single layer in a 13- by 9-inch (3 L) baking dish.

: Pour barbecue sauce over chops. Bake in a preheated 375ºF (190ºC) oven for 40 minutes, until chops are tender and sauce is bubbling.
