: Stir in tomato juice, jam and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer, uncovered, for 6 minutes. Add warmed evaporated milk, stirring to incorporate. Simmer 4 minutes. Add peas and cook 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

: At the same time, in a saucepan, cook sweet potatoes in a water to cover, until tender. Drain well and mash. Add evaporated milk, butter, sugar and salt. Mash until incorporated. Serve with Sloppy Joe mixture.
